In 1963, a man named Dallas Wallace started selling tire repair products from his Volkswagen Beetle to service stations in the Washington D.C. area. His business was originally known as M-T-Y which stood for Manufacturer to You and offered a new and efficient way to get preventive maintenance products to customers. As the business grew, so did the Mighty Distributing System, creating a network of distributors and eventually employing the franchising model in 1970. Later on, car-related service companies recognized the value of Mighty’s business model and began adding franchises to their portfolios, and in 2009, Mighty began to expand internationally. Today, Mighty supports a network of franchises and company operations in 44 states, offering trusted service to over 15,000 automotive service facilities. Mighty continues to be recognized as a top franchise, supporting individual businesses, tire dealers, quick service specialists, car dealerships and automotive-related distributors across exclusive territories. Mighty has been dedicated to serving the automotive industry for over 58 years.
